When Ella Reed finds Amy Marsh injured on the floor, attacked by perpetrators, she saves her by taking a brutal hit from one of them, clearing any suspicion and earning sympathy from Derek Marsh. Determined to get close to Derek and marry him, Ella repeatedly sets up Lydia Kerr in hopes of getting rid of her.
